It is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
Please note that pictures of ID or printouts will not be accepted, and you are required to present the physical copy of the document to the artist at the shop. Our studio does not condone tattooing minors, even if parental consent is provided and even if you turn 18 "in a few weeks".
It is within our discretion to decline a tattoo request if the correct form of identification is not provided.

We believe that every tattoo deserves the best possible outcome, and we would be happy to recommend another artist that we trust to help you achieve your desired result If we can’t.

- Please inform your artist about any allergies, skin conditions, health conditions or any previous adverse reactions to tattoos you may have had.
Please bring it to the attention of your artist and have an open discussion! -
Allergic reactions are different for everybody. Some may occur almost immediately, others may appear within 48 hours to a week after the completion of the tattoo. In some instances, an allergic reaction may not manifest until several months after the tattoo was done.
While allergic reactions to tattoos are rare, it is improper aftercare that can lead to various complications, including infections. If an infected tattoo is left untreated, it can cause serious health issues and may even become life-threatening.
Tattoo aftercare is crucial to prevent infection and ensure that the tattoo heals the best it can. This involves keeping the tattoo clean and dry, avoiding exposure to sunlight and water, and following any instructions given by the tattoo artist.
Please click on "aftercare advice' for further info.
It is also important to keep an eye on the tattoo for any early signs of infection, such as severe redness, swelling, or pus. In rare cases, complications from a tattoo infection can lead to sepsis, a life-threatening condition that occurs when the infection spreads throughout the body.
In summary, while getting a tattoo carries some risks, proper aftercare can help minimize these risks and ensure a safe and healthy healing process. It is important to follow the instructions given by your tattoo artist and seek medical attention if you suspect an infection.
If you are experiencing symptoms of severe itching/flaking/peeling/oozing/burning, a large rash, inability to move limbs, or severe swelling around the area of your tattoo? It's possible that you may be having an allergic reaction or your tattoo is infected. Please contact your tattoo artist for advice. If they feel it is severe they will advise you to contact your GP or A&E. However, having a reaction like this is incredibly rare if you are thorough with your aftercare! Most of the time the symptoms are mild, and are able to be treated via over-the-counter antihistamines and topical ointments such as 'Hibiscrub' or hydrocortisone to soothe the irritation.
Can you determine the Possibility of an Allergy?
In short, no, unless you do an allergy test.
But even then, there is still a possibility that the test may not detect all allergens.
Different amounts of ingredients can affect everyone differently.
Everybody's body is different, every person heals differently and reacts differently due to a multitude of reasons. Some examples include Blood type, Skin sensitivity, or conditions (such as urticaria or contact dermatitis and may not be aware). Remember that allergies are rare but are not uncommon.
If you do have any concerns that you may be allergic, you can request a prior visit to the studio before the first tattoo session to do an allergy test.
One way to assess the likelihood of an allergic reaction is by performing a patch test at least 24-48 hours prior to the appointment. This involves the application of a small amount of ink onto bare skin, usually on the ear or close to the tattooed area. Any reaction within 24 hours may indicate an allergy to one or more ingredients in the ink.
An alternative test is the dot test, which involves tattooing a small dot of ink onto a section of skin and monitoring the skin's reaction over 24-48 hours. Swelling or redness in the area may be indicative of an allergic response.
If you choose to get a tattoo ink allergy test with a tattoo artist, we will require you to sign a consent agreement. Alternatively, you may contact your GP for further advice and request a tattoo ink allergy test through the NHS or a private provider. It's important to us that you feel informed and confident in your decision, so please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
IMPORTANT: If the symptoms are severe or persistent, it's best to contact your GP. Stronger medication may be necessary to treat the reaction, and infections may require antibiotics. Don't hesitate to ask your artist for advice and or seek medical attention if you have any concerns. (If symptoms are severe and you are worried call 111 to ask for NHS advice).
(This is only advice and you should always do the research yourself and to contact your GP prior to getting a tattoo for the benefit of your safety!)
